The Trip

i walked in the door

and saw a scene so perfect
it must be a stage

every book and lamp in place
every chair and sofa was there

the oration of the offer
seemed quite sweet

after all it's just more protein
and calories for me

growing muscles need them
it's like milk you see

the penetrating request
came next, was it the test

just hop on top the chair
while I sit, and ride it there

but a ride on the pole
is far to risky business

the trip was just for fun
this cat might not need a lasting gift
like this one could be
